- This is not a request for quote; this is a notice of the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to The Patriots Technology TrainingCenter (PTTC), 5800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Hwy, Capitol Heights, MD 20743-2100, pursuant to FAR PART 13.106-1(b) "Soliciting from One Source," Washington Headquarters Service, Acquisition Directorate intends to award a sole contract as a means for DoD to increase its minority outreach efforts through visibility within communities that support the professional development and advancement of minorities in the federal government and DoD. DoD's engagement will be maximized through a year-long partnership with PTTC, and will include the benefits such as: • A DoD representative will be the STEM Exhibition faci litator • Access to more than 10,000 middle and high school students attending summer camps • Opportunity to generate interest, further educational achievement, and identify career paths for Washington, D.C. metropolitan area students who have an interest in STEM careers • A full page adverti sement on the back side of the Back To School flyers • Recognition as key sponsor on all press releases to the media (local newspaper, TV, and radio stations) • Recognition as key sponsor on all Patriots STEM Exhibition flyers and postcards • Logo branding on Patriots website • Article in Patriots Newsletter (20,000 distribution) • Group picture with students at each event • Exhibit/booth space at each STEM Exhibition event to distribute marketing material and connect with STEM Exhibition attendees • Opportunity to distribute promotional items at each STEM Exhibition location This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 10:00 AM, EST on July 21, 2014 by e-mail to richard.c.washington.civ@mail.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
