- Description
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Washington, DC intends to award a sole source contract to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), 77 Water Street, FL 8, New York, NY 10005. The SEC requires the ability to meet its objectives as required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (DFA), Section 342(f) in increasing opportunities for women and minority students in STEM-related occupations within SEC and opportunities within financial services careers. This will be a nine-month purchase order commencing upon date of award. The service will provide the SEC access to the TMCF network to include the following: - Workshop Presenter at the TMCF 2014 Annual Leadership & Career Fair to include, but not limited to, pre- and post-conference marketing and promotion opportunities, SEC logo on conference signage and sampling opportunities (information on financial literacy, career and/or student intership opportunities at SEC) - Job Postings to include SEC advertising metrics - Host a STEM breakout session at the 2015 Member University Professional Institute - External evaluation and reporting including event participation statistics, participant responses and feedback, and modification recommendations. The contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and the Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of statements, proposals, or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation or additional informaiton will be made available with regard to this sole source notice. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Ms. Tammy Oliver, Olivert@sec.gov, no later than 12:00 PM, EDT, July 25, 2014. (NAICS) code 611710-Educational Support Services.
