This workshop will be held in Chicago on August 6th and 7th. Interested parties and stakeholders in Department of Energy Office of Science Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) SBIR topics related to computing and networking are encouraged to attend. This 2 day workshop will focus on building and strengthening the ties between the producers and consumers of software and networking tools developed under the auspices of the DOE SBIR program. Register / More information: http://go.lbl.gov/ascr_sbir http://science.energy.gov/ascr/research/sbir/ Day 1 Computing (August 6) : Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), software and tool producers will be able to directly interact with the manufacturing and engineering firms that leverage advanced computing in their operations for simulation driven prototyping, additive manufacturing, and assembly line control. Day 2 Networking (August 7) : The ISV community will interact with the network operator communities to identify ways to improve the tools and services which simplify management of digital networks, optical components, test gear, and chip-to-chip interconnects. Audience : Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who develop programs that provide tools and services to the manufacturing, engineering, or network operations communities; DOE laboratory researchers who develop networking tools or produce libraries and codes that enhance an applications performance on advanced computing (HPC) resources; and manufacturing, engineering, and network operations communities who use these tools and services to improve their productivit y.
