- This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the GSA Federal Supply Schedule, SIN# 563 4, Roofing Materials, Products and Services. This Request For Quote (RFQ) is to replace the roofing membrane on the Metcalfe Federal Building at 77 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois. The Metcalfe Federal Building has a roof on two levels where the membrane is beyond its useful life but the pavers and insulation are reusable. Scope will require design, removal and complete replacement of the membrane, flashings, and counter-flashings for the roof on the Metcalfe Federal Building. The contractor will reuse the insulation and pavers for the project. The contractor will need to provide a twenty year leak free warranty for the membrane and flashing. There will also be option work on this project. Option 1 The contractor will install insulation and membrane of their choice-at the Metcalfe Federal Building at 77 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois-that is suitable for a tray vegetated roof system. The contractor will install a tray vegetated system atop the new roofing system. For this the contractor will honor a twenty year leak free warranty. Option 2 Contractor to replace the mechanical roof on the Federal Building at 11 W. Quincy Court in Chicago, Illinois. The Federal Building at 11 W. Quincy Court has a mechanical roof that has been patched numerous times to accommodate new equipment and needs a new roof to repair leaks and make the system uniform. Scope will require design, removal and complete replacement of all roofing systems including membrane, insulation, flashings, counter-flashings, and drains for the mechanical roof on 11 W. Quincy Court. The insulation installed will meet an R-50 rating and the system installer will be required to provide a twenty year full system leak free warranty. Option 3 Contractor to replace the roof pavers on the JCK Federal Building at 230 S. Dearborn Street in Chicago, Illinois. The JCK Federal Building requires new roof pavers to replace those that have reached their useful life. Scope will require design, removal and complete replacement of the pavers on the JCK Federal Building. The contractor will provide a standard manufacturer warranty for these items. The RFQ cited above can only be obtained by accessing GSA eBuy, you must be a vendor on the Federal Supply Schedule to download the RFQ. The RFQ will available on GSA eBuy on or about July 9, 2014. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the RFQ from GSA eBuy and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the RFQ.
