- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Ice Breaker, Buoy and Construction Tender Product Line anticipates a need and is seeking qualified sources able to provide ten (10) Drum Powered Operated Winches, Part Number: HU40-9.5, to support the WLR-75, WLIC-75, WLIC-100, and WLIC-160 Class Buoy and Construction Tenders. It is Government's belief that only Ram Winch and Hoist, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), can provide the parts and ensure exact form, fit, and function, with existing equipment. All parts supplied must be genuine Ram Winch and Hoist parts - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. The Coast Guard does not own the rights to the technical data necessary to evaluate other parts. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM and therefore is not available for release. However, sources capable of providing these exact parts may submit their capabilities to this office not later than July 14, 2014, 2:00p.m., EST. Information submitted must include (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the capability of the Offeror; (2) acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (3) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impeded award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This notice is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. For information regarding this acquisition contact the Contracting officials listed herein. In your response you must include: (a) "Company Name" response to Sources Sought HSCG40-14-S-AN193, in your subject line, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) a guarantee that you can obtain genuine OEM parts, (d) point of contact information and (d) business size (large, small, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business or women-owned small business concerns). Submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned.
