- Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) has a requirement to update its current dental equipment to improve both the readiness and educational missions for various Air Force Bases. The requirement will be fulfilled via an unrestricted full and open competitive acquisition as a Brand Name or Equal to Sirona dental equipment. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and part 15, Contracting by Negotiating, will be used for this requirement. This pre-solicitation notice is to inform industry that the projected date for NMLC to release solicitation number N62645-14-T-0020 is on 17 July 2014. This solicitation is by electronic means only - no hard copies will be mailed to offerors. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and all amendments will be posted on three different web sites. It will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. The systems shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The system shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements. To receive consideration, vendors must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for award. Telephone requests and questions will not be accepted.
