Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to acquire 1 each Prefabricated Hazardous Material Storage Building, suggested brand US Chemical Storage, Inc. Model Superloc SL2422, FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. This requirement is set-aside 100% for small businesses FAR 52.219-6. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332311, and the Federal Product/Service Code is 5450, Miscellaneous Prefabricated Structures. The SBA size standard for this NAICS is 500 employees. The unit will be installed at Building 1029 of the Naval Foundry & Propeller Center, Philadelphia, PA 19112. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination Within Consignee ™s Premises, FAR 52.247-35. Installation is required. Site preparation will be done by the US Navy. Delivery and installation personnel to have access to Navy sites are subject to FAR 52.204-2 Security Requirements. Alternative brand must meet the following specifications: Prefabricated Hazmat Material Storage Locker must be designed and manufactured to meet all applicable federal regulations and requirements. It shall also be listed by UL and FM, have the Intertek Warnock Hersey Approval and meet all necessary NFPA criteria for class 1 combustibles, have a minimum of a 4 hour fire rating and have a self-contained fire extinguishing system. This locker shall be weatherproof with an exterior width not greater than 21-1/2 feet wide and the internal area not exceeding 500 square feet. In accordance with NFPA 30 section 3.3.34, this hazmat storage locker must be equipped to be permanently fastened to the facilities concrete floor. In addition, it must be able to store a minimum of 180 five (5) gallon standard paint containers and per NFPA 30 section 9.9.1 it must be able to contain a minimum of 10% of the total volume of stored liquids in the event of leakage or spillage. This locker must have the capability of independent temperature control and the ability to be ventilated per NFPA 30 section 14.4.7. Additional requirements and descriptions will be provided in the Request for Quotes (RFQ). This notice of intent is a request for competitive quotations. A request for quotation will be posted within 5 days of this posting. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this request for quotation. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Naval Foundry and Propeller Center, Philadelphia. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Commercial type clauses in FAR Part 12 will be included in the RFQ, and a shorter solicitation period will be implemented per FAR 5.203(c). Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.SAM.gov.
