Description

J&A Solicitation 309th SMXG/ 516th SMXS/MXDEA/ PZIMC intends to issue a sole source contract to purchase a telemetry recorder and all software, instructions, and licenses to the contractor (Wideband Systems) which will provide a DRS8500X Teletry recorder. The 516 Software Maintenance Squadron (SMXS) has been tasked with building ICBM Telemetry Integrated Processing System (ITIPS). Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to the contractor (Wideband Systems) for a telemetry recorder, software and licenses. The solicitation will posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number FA8224-14-T-0054. This requirement is considered sole source due to the complex integration which includes a high speed data recorder/reproducer. The project requires integrating 29 lines of data with possible expansion as the project evolves. Wideband Systems DRS8500X Wideband Telemetry Recorder is the only system that meets the customers' requirements of data lines and speeds and has the flexibility of integrating to the telemetry system. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 750. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and all other interested contractors shall submit a capabilities document which states their abilities on fulfilling this requirement. Responses should be submitted by 200 pm MST on July 15, 2014.
