- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SGE500-14-R-0044 The American Consulate General, Frankfurt provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice regarding the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Construction Services for the Façade Redevelopment Project at the U.S. Consulate General, Carl Schurz Housing area, Frankfurt, Germany The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Construction Type Contract during the third quarter of calendar year 2014. This construction project is to replace windows, and install exterior thermal insulation composite on the façade of three buildings in the Carl Schurz Housing Area. The newly plastered façade shall then be painted in such a fashion that it matches the original façade, so that the building fits back into its surroundings. Exterior window sills shall be completely replaced; interior window sills shall remain conserved. The construction project to replace windows, and install exterior insulation, and perform plastering work shall be executed at the same time that the roof is being insulated and new roof tiles being installed. This will require that the façade/window contractor must cooperate and coordinate closely with the roofing contractor. The project is for a base contract to redevelop one building, with two options for the redevelopment of one (1) building each, in the same housing area. Options exercised would be for immediate follow-on work. The magnitude of the requirement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project (base requirement plus options). RPSO intends to issue the Solicitation Package on July 15, 2014 and Proposals will be due thirty (30) days thereafter. A Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Survey will be held ten (10) days after release of the solicitation, exact date to be announced. Contract award is expected in September 2014, with a contract start date of March / April 2015. Companies interested in the solicitation should express their interest by written correspondence, by July 15, 2014, to the above two email addresses and MUST include the following information: Name of Company, Telephone and Email Address of Point of Contact and Complete Physical and Mailing Address of Company. In addition, the names of those attending the conference must be provided - numbers will be limited to two persons per company. The Solicitation will only be available in the English language.
