- Pre-solicitation Notice W9127S-14-R-0008: This solicitation will be advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990(Other Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction). The small business size standard is $33,500,000.00. The solicitation is for a firm fixed priced construction contract to blast clean and paint, refurbish the side seals, replace flexible grease lines, provide bird protection, and provide rigid grease piping from catwalk to flexible grease lines on the Bull Shoals Dam tainter gates. Also perform miscellaneous structural repairs, such as providing drain holes in the lower strut arms, welding connections of existing angle braces, providing retainer bars on trunnion pins, tighten and/or replace missing trunnion girder bolts, and seal weld joints in trunnion girder plates. Lead based paint abatement methods are required for all blasting and paint removal procedures. The Magnitude of Construction is more than $10,000,000. Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR 15. Proposals will be evaluated utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only at the Army's Single Face to Industry Website (ASFI) on or about 7/15/14. It is each offeror's responsibility to download the solicitation from the internet website. No paper copies will be provided. Notification of amendments shall be made via the Internet as well. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the ASFI website daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
