Description

THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT - The FAA is seeking experienced firms to enter into a fixed-price contract to install a water leak detection system and pipe replacement at the Cleveland ARTCC, Oberlin, Ohio. Scope of work consists of but is not limited to the following: Part A: Ultrasonic piping and partial steam piping replacement: 1) Auto Wing basement above office pipe chase: a) Replace approximately 200 feet of 3" HWS and HWR piping and insulation. b) Replace 200 feet of 2" LPS and 1 ¼ " LPR (steam supply and steam condensate return) piping and insulation 2) Auto Wing first floor Mechanical room 111A: a) Replace approximately 50 feet of 2" CWS and 50 feet of 2" CWR piping, valves and insulation. 3) Modify and provide new piping supports as required. 4) Other new work as shown on drawing ZOB-D-ARTCC-M026. Part B: Provide new water leak detection systems: 1) Auto Wing Basement: a) Provide approximately 200 feet of detection cables for overhead chilled and hot water piping. b) Replace existing leak detection panel with new. c) Furnish, fabricate and install new drip pans. d) Route drip pan drain pipes to underfloor and tie in to existing drain piping. e) Update leak detection system graphic map. 2) Automation Wing First Floor: a) Replace existing leak detection panel with new near column A and row 11 in Automation Wing first floor. 3) Other new work as shown on drawing ZOB-D-ARTCC-M025. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT AND SCOPE OF WORK WITHIN THE LAST THREE YEARS TO BE CONSIDERED QUALIFIED. This acquisition is under NAICS code is 236220 “ Commercial and Institutional Bldg. Construction - $33.5M. Offer range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contract performance time is 60 calendar days. The Request for Offer is anticipated to be available by the end of July. Anticipated construction start will be as soon as possible after award. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and certified 8(a) contractors are highly encouraged to submit a request for this project.
