- Description
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source contract to Iron Mountain Information Management LLC. Iron Mountain Information Management LLC provides storage and records management services. Iron Mountain Information Management LLC is the only known vendor capable of providing a total solution for special media electronic materials storage, preparation and shipping services and forensics dedicated storage space required by the Commission. The period of performance for this purchase order is one year, effective July 1, 2014. The special media electronic materials must be prepared and shipped for storage in a CFR compliant storage facility within 50 miles of the SEC located in Washington DC. The dedicated forensic space must be customized with maximum controls to ensure the materials are not compromised or co- mingled with other materials while in storage. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and the Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of statements, proposal, or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regard to this sole source notice. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Ms. Julia Gallmon, GallmonJ@sec.gov no later than 10:00AM, EST, Monday, June 30, 2014.
