Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Facilities Management & Engineering (FM&E), Tactical Infrastructure (TI) program has a requirement for a Comprehensive Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair (CTIMR) effort along the Southwest Border of the United States, specifically for an area, designated as Area 4, along Del Rio, Laredo, and the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol sectors in Texas. The Maintenance and Repair includes fences and gates; roads and bridges; drainage and grate systems; lighting and electrical systems and; vegetation control and debris removal. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237990 with a small business size standard of $35.5M. This requirement is restricted to eligible 8(a) program participants serviced by the SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley (Texas) District Office with a bona-fide place of business located in the specified geographical area in which the work is to be performed. Evidence of 8(a) Certification and a bona-fide address within the same district in which the work is to be performed will be verified by a Small Business Opportunity Specialist from the SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley (Texas) District Office. In accordance with FAR 36.204 (h) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, advance notices and solicitations shall state the magnitude of the requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range. In no event shall the statement of magnitude disclose the Government's estimate. Therefore, the estimated price should be described in terms of one of the following price ranges: More than $10,000,000. The PR reference number for this requirement is 200080966. A formal RFP will be forthcoming.
