- This is a Sources Sought Announcement and request for information only. This is not a Request for Proposals and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Government will take procurement action on this matter. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing information provided under this Sources Sought Announcement. Responses will assist the Government in determining potential responsible sources and to determine the technical capability of the domestic production base. 1. OVERVIEW The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground - Installation Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland, 21005 are conducting a Sources Sought market survey to identify sources with the interest and capability to provide Rolling of HY-80 Plate Steel and A36 Mild Steel. 2. REQUIREMENTS The following material is to be picked up from Aberdeen Proving Ground and rolled to the dimensions and tolerance called out on quote mark Attachment 1-Rolling quote mark : Qty (6) HY-80 Plate, 0.535 quote mark x38.625 quote mark x141.131 quote mark Rolled to 67.39 quote mark ID Radius, 120 degree segment Qty (3) HY-80 Plate, 0.535 quote mark x89 quote mark x141.131 quote mark Rolled to 67.39 quote mark ID Radius, 120 degree segment Qty (39) HY-80 Plate, 0.585 quote mark x.03 quote mark x15.175 quote mark Rolled to 72.65 quote mark ID Radius, 120 degree segment Qty (3) A36 Mild Steel, 3/16 quote mark x96 quote mark x197.201 quote mark Rolled to 94.16 quote mark ID Radius, 120 degree segment -Necessary bracing will be added to ensure rolled segments hold dimensions. -Contractor responsible for delivering rolled plates back to ATC once rolling is completed. -Work must be completed and delivered back to ATC within 4 weeks of ATC notifying contractor that the plates are ready to be picked up. -All rework will be at no cost to the government 3. INSTRUCTIONS TO POTENTIAL RESPONDENTS - DELIVERABLES This is NOT a Request for Proposal. Companies that desire to participate in this sources sought are encouraged to submit a response which supports the company's claim that it presently has the technology, qualifications, experience, and capabilities to satisfy the requirements. Specifically, any interested companies are requested to provide the following information: 1) Name of Company 2) Business CAGE code 3) Point of contact and phone number 4) Size of Business according to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332312 or 331221 5) Other suggested NAICS codes for this program and your size classification based on these codes. 6) Company certifications (e.g. ISO-9001, ASI-9100, CMMI) 7) Would you propose on a potential procurement as a prime or subcontractor? 8) Information on whether the product is considered commercial in accordance with the quote mark commercial item quote mark definition found in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 2.101. All requests for further information must be made via email. Telephone requests for additional information will not be honored.
