Description
NIH-CCOPC-SBSS-14-012716 REPAIR OF SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice, This is NOT a solicitation for proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding:(1) the availability and capability of qualify of qualified small business sources2) whether they are small businesses; HubZone small businesses; service disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) disadvantaged small businesses; and(3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry. Background Information The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's foremost federally funded biomedical research institution. It is comprised of twenty-seven Institutes, Centers and Divisions. The Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center is the on-site 267-bed hospital for the NIH campus comprised of clinical, laboratory and administrative staff who support the Institutes as they conduct clinical research working with inpatients and outpatients participating in research studies at the NIH. The Department of Peri-Operative Medicine (DPM) provides surgical services support for patients enrolled in the experimental protocols of several Institutes. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Department of Perioperative Medicine Section (DPM) has a need to approve a "Justification for repairs on surgical instruments and positioning equipment required for on-going experiments. This urgent and compelling procurement action in accordance with IAW FAR 6.302-2 is based on the need to have a purchase order for repairs to be performed on various surgical instruments and scopes as well as surgical positioning equipment. All of these items are mission essential and surgery is impacted when the items are not available. Having a purchase order prevents a delay as a lot of the repairs are over $3,000.00. Repairs may consist of the following: Aloka DaVinci Ultra Sound Probe Aloka Laparoscopic Ultra Sound Probe Aloka Neuro Aloka Ultra Sound Probe Aloka Finger Probe Sternal Saw Stryker System 5 Power Various Laparoscopic Instrument Repairs Ridgid Scopes Flexible Bronchoscope Flexible Video Bronchoscope Flexible Ureteroscope Flexible Cystoscope DESCRIPTION Flexible Reno Veno Urology Scope Ebus Scope Dipping of Various Surgical Instruments Various Surgical Instrument Repairs Repairing of Surgical Instrument Sterilization Pans Repairing of Light sources Repairing of head lights Repairing of Surgical Instrumentation Tables Replacement of Rubber pieces to Surgical ENT and Dental Instruments Repairs to Airplane Arm for Patient Positioning Repairs to Either Screen Repairs to Laser Instruments Modification to Neuro Suction So that it is Crimped Lengthen of Surgical Instruments as needed Repair to Buddy Halo Retractor Repairs to Thompson Retractor Repairs to Harmonic Scalpel Cords Repairs to Diamond Knife for Neuro Repairs to Armboards Company will pick up and drop off on a daily basis. The estimated value of this obligation will be $65,000.00. After review of the responses received,a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation maybe published in the Federal Business Opportunties. However,responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a furture solicitation.
