Description
This notice is for Project Number - 623-11-107, Replace Air Handling Units, at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical, Muskogee, OK 74401. NAICS Code - 238220 The magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $1,0000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 The project is to be completed 270 calendar days after issuance Notice to Proceed. Statement of Work Replace Laboratory Air Handling Units Project 623-11-107 Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to perform construction for Project 623-11-107 Replace Laboratory Air Handling Units at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center as called for in project plans and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, selective removal of existing construction and certain other items in accordance with plans and specifications for Project 623-11-107 Replace Laboratory Air Handling Units at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. Construction shall be completed in a series of sequential phases to allow all Laboratory Service functions to remain active during the construction period. Refer to phasing plans and specification section 010000-General Requirements, paragraph 1.6.G for additional phasing requirements. In general, the scope includes all architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work to complete the following: 1.Remove and replace three air handling units and supporting components and piping serving approximately 8000 sq. ft. of laboratory space and replace with a single air handling unit with thermal recovery and supporting components and piping. 2.Modify and replace existing ductwork per plans to allow phasing and to supply the laboratory HVAC requirements for the new system. Provide temporary cooling units as necessary to allow construction phasing. Demo and install new VAV units and HVAC registers as specified. 3.Remove existing exhaust systems as specified. Provide and install new exhaust fans and system components and modify or replace existing exhaust ductwork where specified. 4.Remove existing HVAC heating water, steam, and chilled water piping and provide and install new HVAC piping where specified. 5.Upgrade existing laboratory air control valves and provide new where specified. 6.Install digital controls on all new and existing HVAC components and integrate to existing Niagara AX enterprise server. 7.Relamp existing lighting fixtures and remove and reinstall lighting fixtures and other components to allow construction. 8.Provide finishes to match existing and new finishes where specified. Refer to project plans and specifications for complete details on all work to be performed. Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. The firm must be a small business under the relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $14Million. The firm must be registered and current in the following websites: www.sam.gov and www.vetbiz.gov. Bidders must ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current and valid. A site visit will be held approximately two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the Site Visit will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) when the document is ready for release.
