- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a non-competitive basis with CTT Inc. (Cage 66087) of Sunnyvale, CA, for a quantity of twenty-seven (27) Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs). This procurement is in support of the NAWCAD Integrated Communications and Information Systems (ICIS) Division, of the NAWCAD St. Inigoes, MD, who has a requirement for radio frequency power amplifiers to complete a depot-level upgrade of the older Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) power amplifier assembly used in the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set (RTS) of the Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) MK III Weapons Systems. The SSPAs are manufactured in accordance with NAWCAD Component Specification SP8006-2320 Rev. C and Source Control Drawing 8006-2320 Rev. B. CTT Inc. is the only manufacturer of this SSPA to successfully pass all qualification testing and is form, fit, and function compatible for use in the existing shipboard AN/SRQ-4 RTS. Only CTT Inc. can supply the requested SSPAs that successfully passed qualification testing which included fit testing, functional testing, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) thermal testing, ESS random vibration testing, temperature cycling testing, shipboard vibration and shock testing. The government intends to award this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
