Description
Shimada Draft SOW Fairweather Draft SOW The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations Pacific has a requirement for drydock repair services for the NOAA ships Fairweather and Shimada. BACKGROUND: The NOAA Ships Fairweather and Shimada require dry dock repair services. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, and materials required to dock and undock the vessels in a safe and satisfactory manner and perform the work and associated services, including all inspections and reports, outlined in the Statements of Work and/or required in the detailed referenced specifications. Draft Statements of Work are attached for information purposes. Please note that these are drafts and the final Statements of Work, which will be issued with the Invitation to Bid(IFB) solicitation, may vary significantly from these drafts. The Period of performance is anticipated to be between September 24, 2014 and December 31, 2014. Specific dates will be identified in the IFB solicitation. The place of performance is the Contractors facility. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 336611 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. An(IFB) solicitation may be available on or about July 9, 2014 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The estimated response due date is August 26, 2014; however, the actual date offers are due will be stated within the solicitation documents. Tentative ship check dates are Jul 18, 2014 for the Fairweather in Kodiak AK and Aug 5, 2014 for the Shimada in San Francisco, CA. Firm ship check dates will be established in the IFB solicitation. The proposed contract is anticipated to be set aside 100% for small business. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Add To Watchlist] and [Add Me To Interested Vendors] features which provide a notification when the IFB becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter. Each potential bidder is responsible for checking the FedBizOpps website to gain all current information related to the solicitation. The solicitation and any further announcements regarding the solicitation will be posted only at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All questions of any nature regarding this procurement are to be sent in writing to Contract Specialist, Levis Knox at levis.d.knox@noaa.gov. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov; offerors must also obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number and provide it with the offer. Offerors must also have submitted required Federal Contractor Veterans' Employment Report (VETS-100A Report). All responsible, responsive sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency.
