- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide improvements to Disposal Areas 22 and 23. The disposal areas are located along the banks of the Core Creek Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) Land Cut approximately 3 miles north of the NC Highway 101 bridge in Carteret County, North Carolina. Both disposal areas have previously been used for disposal of maintenance dredging material from the AIWW. The work will include construction of a dike at Disposal Area 23. Borrow material for construction of the Disposal Area 23 dike will be from Disposal Area 22. Clearing of vegetation and grubbing will be required at Disposal Areas 22 and 23. The work will also include removal and replacement of the existing spillway systems at each disposal area and addition of a new spillway system at Disposal Area 23. This solicitation is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $33,500,000.00. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Network analysis will not be required. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on a date that is yet to be determined pending the US Army Corps of Engineers receipt of required permits. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. The awardable contractor must be registered in the System of Award Management (http://www.sam.gov) prior to submission of any invoicing to the federal government for this contract requirement, if awarded.
