Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking potential firms that have the capability to provide services as part of a construction project that shall include, but not be limited to the rehabilitation of approximately 1.25 miles of 2-lane road pavement along Lineville Road and Bayshore Drive located in Villages of Suamico and Howard, Wisconsin. Project includes the milling of the existing asphalt pavement and laying a 3 inch thick Mix Asphalt overlay as well as applying lane markings. The project will also include related incidental work such as traffic control to grant the ability for local residents and emergency services to access the area via these roads while construction is underway. The contract will be required to be complete within approximately 03 months. The estimated award date of the contract is 30 SEP 2014. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction), which has a size standard of $33,500,000 in average annual receipts. The project requires knowledge of road construction. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. This announcement is for planning purposes only. Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed eight (8) pages, including the attached response form. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the project, interested contractors shall present the following information: 1. If applicable, identification and verification of the company as a Small Business, HubZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, and/or Woman Owned Small Business, subject to verification by the Small Business Administration. 3. A letter from the firm's bonding company verifying that the firm can be bonded up to the amount of this project (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars). 1.
