- Description
- In regards to the 50 Space Wing Industry Day for the Wing Information and Communications Support (WICS) contract to be conducted 25 June 2014 beginning at 1200 local, the following additional information is provided: The event will begin promptly at 1200 in Bldg. 210, first floor foyer vice conference room 346. Here, each participant will check in with Ms. Anderson and will be provided badging for the event. The briefing and tour will all be conducted within the Restricted Area (RA) at SAFB and therefore tighter policies will be in play. The group of contractor participants and escorts will proceed from Bldg. 210 to the RA in a timely manner that will allow the briefing portion of the day to begin at 1230 in Bldg. 300. All personnel entering the RA under escort must comply with the following: • While within the SAFB RA, all escorted personnel must remain in visual contactand close proximity with the escort official. Escorted personnel must not attempt to process into or out of the RA without their designated escort official (DEO). • The following items are prohibited from entering the RA: Personal laptops or tablets, firearms, defensive weapons such as pepper spray and stun guns, explosive devices, fireworks, concealed weapons, knives with a blade longer than 3 inches, cameras, and cell phones with digital cameras. • All rules and security measures must be obeyed as described by the escort officials and/or Security Forces. If you see classified material, notify your escort IMMEDIATELY. Should you become separated from your DEO, immediately contact Security Forces at 719-567-5641/5642/5643 or 719-567-2759/6464. Following a brief introduction in conference room 300, briefings will be conducted discussing the overall WICS requirement and contract parameters with short presentations on configuration management, database management, information assurance, the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC), and safety. After the briefings, we will transition to Bldg. 400 (GBSOC IOE) for a short tour and briefing of the GBSOC requirement. After the GBSOC portion, participants will be divided up into groups and will tour the DSCS physical location. The event is anticipated to take all afternoon. Participants should plan to be on site up to 5:00 pm. Participants that cannot complete the entire tour are discouraged from attending. One-on-one briefings are scheduled for 26 and 27 June and all participants of those meetings are already aware of their allocated time. Again, questions about the requirement or acquisition strategy, other than those previously submitted in writing, will not be entertained during Industry Day. Additional written submissions of questions must be received not later than COB 30 June 2014. Responses will be posted to FBO as soon as possible following industry day, but before final RFP release
