- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure wheels and brake cables for the MHU-191A/M Munitions Transporter in accordance with Level III drawings. The wheels and brake cables will be shipped to FRC Solomons, MD, who will convert the MHU-191/M to the MHU-191A/M. The Government intends to award a 5-year, Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract. Offerors will have an opportunity in their proposals to detail how their wheel manufacturing processes meet the testing requirements of the drawings. The awardee would become a qualified source of the tire material after successful completion of all required testing. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Award will be based on a determination of "Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable." This procurement contains Technical Data subject to the Export Control Laws. In order to obtain the export-controleld drawings after release of the solicitation, contractors shall provide an approved copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, to Sarah McCarty at sarah.mccarty@navy.mil. For DD Form 2345 information, visit the DLIS website at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business Opportunities" and then "Open Solicitations." Look for amendments to the solicitation on the NAVAIR webpage as well. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR webpage on or about 14 July 2014. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will not be mailed to contractors. The applicable requirements documents and drawings will not be made available until after release of the solicitation. The Government will not accept proposals that are submitted via facsimile or electronically via e-mail. It is mandatory for offerors to register with the System for Award Management (SAM) database with its associated DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System + 4 number) and CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code required to conduct business with the Department of Defense.
