- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 10-JUN-2014 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-14-B-0014 On or about 01 July 2014, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the 4TH ID CAB - ASSAULT BATTALION MAINTENANCE HANGAR, PN 77405, FORT CARSON, COLORADO. The solicitation will close on or about 19 August 2014. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 16 July 2014. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Construct a standard design Assault Battalion Maintenance Hangar. Project includes the Hangar, building information systems, intrusion detection systems installation, energy monitoring and control system connections, fire/smoke detection and alarm systems and connections to the installation central systems. Fire suppression systems will be provided. Special Foundations are required due to expansive and corrosive soil. Supporting facilities include electric service, water, sewer and gas, industrial waste, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, parking, storm drainage, site work and exterior information systems. Demolition of existing buildings is included in this project. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $30,000,000 and $100,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Please be advised of on-line registration requirement for Contractor Registration and for Representations and Certifications Application 'ORCA' is now located in System for Award Management 'SAM' database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to SAM.
