- 14RWT45_syn This synopsis is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division plans to enter into an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract on a competitive basis. This requirement will be issued on a competitive basis. In accordance with FAR Part 12, a commercial solicitation shall be issued utilizing full and open competition procedures. The requirement is anticipated to result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract that can be utilized for five years. The solicitation will be available on or around 9 July 2014 on FBO and will close on or around 12 August 2014. Offers will be required to submit price proposals and past performance. Offers will also contain proof of certification for the repairs of each brand and type of equipment in the Crane machine shop. The list of equipment is attached to this synopsis. The Government intends to award to the most responsible offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government considering price and past performance factors. This effort is for the procurement of preventive maintenance and repair if applicable on several various machines. Contractor shall provide labor, material, equipment, resources to repair, test and maintain the equipment. Clean, visually inspect and maintain machine shop assets. Disassemble to the extent necessary to verify failure and/or inspect for needed repair processes and parts of subassemblies as required. Annual maintenance is also included in this effort. The machines are utilized to manufacture spare parts such as corner fittings, radius bars, and GCU baseplate for usage in the ALQ-99 pods utilized on the EA-6B and the EA-18G aircraft. These aircraft are currently deployed in theater of operations. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor fbo.gov for amendments that may be issued to the solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. "No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed". Interested sources must download from fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the offeror to submit offers to the Point of Contact (POC) at NSWC Crane.
