Description

Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, Network Contracting office located in Tampa FL intends to negotiate a sole source consolidated award with SkyBase Communications, 1706-D NE Capital Circle, Tallahassee, Florida 32308, a Small Business for the purchase of twenty-two (22) SkyBase G2 Mobile Satellite (MSAT) 2-way push to talk (PTT) custom built systems being purchased for the Veterans Administration (VA) Security Police forces for VISN 8 to include Miami, Gainesville, Lake City, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Bay Pines, San Juan, PR and Lee Country VA Healthcare Center. This anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, one-time purchase. The government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(1). NAICS 517919 - Size Standard $30M This is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 12:00 PM (noon) EST, June 25, 2014. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any unit providing service must provide the minimum specifications as outlined in the Statement of Work. Inquiries will only be accepted via e-mail to Candace.Renn@va.gov.
