- Description
- Remote Multi-Mission Vehicle (RMMV) Display Sessions Announcement From June 24th to June 26th, 2014 from 0900 to 1600 EST, Program Executive Office (PEO) Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Remote Minehunting System (RMS) Program Office (PMS 403) will conduct individual viewing sessions for the v6.0 configuration of the Remote Multi Mission Vehicle (RMMV). The display day will be held at a Government facility in the Palm Beach Florida vicinity. The exact location will be provided in the confirmation email to those that successfully pre-register. During the v6.0 RMMV viewing, individual company attendees can privately and visually inspect the vehicle. Hatches will be removed so attendees can look inside the v6.0 RMMV. No tools may be used to touch the RMMV. Attendees may need to climb government provided ladders to view the vehicle. Photography and video will be permitted and will be handled as For Official Use Only in accordance with L 1.2.1 of N00024-14-R-6303. A short presentation will be provided pointing out specific attributes of the RMMV during each viewing session; however, handout material will not be provided at the event. Attendees may bring their own notes from the RFP. This presentation will not vary from attendee to attendee. No attendees list will be provided or posted prior to or after the event. There will be no opportunities for questions or discussions between individual industry representatives and Government representatives. This is intended for serious bidders only and as an "eyes on the vehicle" only event. It is not intended for the Government to give any clarification or further information of RMMV requirements, nor potential improvements. If attendees have questions during or after viewing the RMMV, questions must be submitted in writing to rmmv_rfp_info@navy.mil with the subject line "RMMV Display Day Questions" or written on paper during the viewing and provided to the designated Government representative. All companies will receive the same amount of time to view the v6.0 RMMV. The length of time each company will have to view the vehicle will be determined in part by the number of companies that successfully pre-register. All interested industry partners are required to pre-register and only those persons on the attendees list will be admitted to the Viewing Sessions. Each company that successfully pre-registers will have one private viewing of the vehicle. Individuals can only attend their company's viewing session, no make-up dates or times are permitted. Interested industry partners are allowed to have up to a maximum of 10 individuals present. In the event that a company submits more than 10 attendance requests, only the first 10 persons will be allowed to attend. The sessions will be held at the UNCLASSIFIED level (U.S. citizens only). All interested members are required to provide names and company identification to rmmv_rfp_info@navy.mil no later than June 16th, 2014 at 1400 EDT. Please use Subject Line "RMMV Display Day Attendance Request". All attendance requests shall contain the full name and title of all people attending, Security Officer contact information to confirm US citizenship, and the CAGE Code of the company they represent. The Government will reply to attendance request emails as requests are approved and rejected. The government will send out time slot confirmations no later than 48 hours prior to June 24 th, 2014. Instructions on how to get onto the facility and where to go will be provided no later than this time. This announcement may be updated. Please periodically recheck this announcement. The RMS is a mine reconnaissance system designed for the detection, classification, identification, and localization of bottom and moored mines in shallow and deep water. The RMS is a fully integrated system consisting of a semi-submersible RMMV carrying a towed variable depth sensor, the AN/AQS-20A/B. The RMMV is a high-endurance, semi-autonomous, low-observable, unmanned, diesel-powered vehicle, operated and maintained from the LCS. The AN/AQS-20A localizes mine-like objects and provides the operator with a visual image and a contact data list. All mission data is recorded by the LCS for post-mission analysis. Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Over-the-Horizon (OTH) communication provides vehicle Command and Control (C2) and mine reconnaissance sensor data transmission. The RMS will provide the Navy the capability to keep ships and sailors out of the minefield. Current intentions call for the RMS to be deployed from the LCS as part of the ships' Mine Counter Measures (MCM) Mission Package (MP). Contracting Office Address: N00024 Naval Sea Systems Command, DC 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue S.E. Washington Navy Yard, DC ***Please note the extension of Display Day registration from 12 June 2014 at 1200 EDT to 16 June 2014 at 1400 EDT***
