- The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source compatibility and proprietary issues. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with EDAX Inc., 91 McKee Drive, Mahwah, NJ, 07430-2105 for Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy- Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EDS-EBSD) to include: CLIN 0001: The Contractor shall provide one (I) PV5500/PL-H, EDAX TEAM Pegasus Integrated EDS-EBSD with Octane Plus and Hikari XP. The Octane plus silicon drift detector (SOD) allows for input counts up to 1.6 million counts per second (cps) and throughputs up to 800,000 cps, TEAM software package for integrated data collection, and Hikari XP EBSD camera with data collection rates up to 1000 indexed points per second at 5 nA, operation down I 00 pA and 5 kV acceleration voltage, and crystallographic orientation precision of O.l degrees. CLIN 0002: Twelve (12) months a subscription of service and support including: -Technical support via telephone -Preventative maintenance visits -Unscheduled repair visits. CLIN 0003: Shipping and Handling This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice are due on or before 16 June 2014 at 11:59 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST) by email at jessica.r.camunez.civ@mail.mil.
