Description
2014 Hazardous Fuels Reduction Services. The Colville National Forest requires hazardous fuel reduction purposes to increase tree vigor, tree health and fuels reduction work on the Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. Location of the work is in Stevens and Ferry Counties, Washington State, located in the NE portion of Washington State. This project requires the furnishing of all tools, equipment, materials, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), labor, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance, transportation, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to accomplish the tree thinning. Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act registration and a Washington State Farm/Forest Labor License are required. The contract will have four base items and three option items. The Base Item D12A (Kettle Face Ladder Fuels Reduction) is estimated at 103 acres. Base Item D12B (Kettle Face Post-Harvest Whipfalling with Reserves) is estimated at 56 acres. Base Item D12C (Kettle Face Post - Harvest Whipfalling) is estimated at 49 acres. Base Item D12D (Hazardous Fuel Piling, Including Thinning (Except for Roadside Piling)) is estimated at 63 acres. Option Item D12E (Kettle Face Whipfalling with Reserves and Whipfalling with Reserves with Hazardous Fuel Piling) is estimated at 34 acres. Option Item D12F (Kettle Face Whipfalling with Reserves and Ladder Fuels Reduction (Potential State Funding Source)) is estimated at 163 acres. Option Item D12G (Paradise Ladder Fuels Reduction (Potential State Funding Source)) is estimated at 51 acres. If all options are exercised, the total estimated acres will be approximately 519 acres. The Government will have until June 15, 2015 to exercise the option items. It is estimated that the work will begin July, 2014 with some items to be completed by September 30, 2014, other items must be completed by June 15, 2015 and the rest of them by September 25, 2015. The actual performance period will be listed in the solicitation. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules and Commercial Item Procedures. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about June 9, 2014. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. The proposed project listed here is a 100 percent small business set-aside. NAICS code is 115310, size standard $17.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
