Description
This notice is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Request for Quote for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure the following: A service contract for a period of one year for Preventive Maintenance for the following equipment: 1) Basil Model No. 6036 Tunnel Washer S/N 3622899-01; 2) Basil Model No. 4600 Rack Washer, S/N 3622199-001; 3) Edstrom Bottle Filler, Model No. 92121; 4) Finn Aqua Bulk Sterilizer, S/N 0132199-12; and 5) Getinge Model No. 433 Sterilizer S/N 61301609114. The contract will cover all materials and labor for preventive maintenance with a built-in Emergency Parts Fund Option that is designed to be used as needed for replacement of failed components and minimize equipment downtime. Contractor shall: Maintain trained service personnel on staff; Provide priority repair; Perform quarterly preventive maintenance; Perform up to six emergency calls per year; Cover consumable parts and labor 100%; Provide unlimited phone and email support; Communicate with end user and Facility Manage as needed regarding equipment performance and repair status. Contractor shall provide all necessary parts and equipment necessary to perform remedial repair and planned maintenance of the above equipment. No Government furnished materials are provided. Reporting requirements and deliverables are: Technical support, remedial repair as needed, quarterly preventive maintenance and emergency service. All work will be inspected and approved by Facility Manager. All work will be completed in accordance with industry standards. This will be a firm fixed price contract. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-74, dated May 30, 2014. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, which has a size standard of $7.0 million. Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time Monday, June 16, 2014 through the U.S. Postal Service at the address of NIH/NIAID/AMOB, 10401 Fernwood Road, Room 2NE52F, MSC 4811, Bethesda, MD, 20892-4811.
