- This is the approved J&A in its redacted form. The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the purchase of Adaptable Communication Suite components to address obsolescence and unforeseen maintenance issues. This BOA will have a period of performance of five (5) years. The components include: electromagnetic interference certified keyboards, displays, wire harness, computers, power supplies, keyboard/video/mouse switch box, and a system control panel. The current hardware meets all the B-2 requirements and specifications, and it certified on the B-2 aircraft. The USAF intends to award this effort as a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source, because the requested items are proprietary to equipment currently in use and no other item will correctly interface with current Government-owned equipment. The USAF intends to award this sole source contract to The Crystal Group, Inc., 850 Kacena Road, Hiawatha, IA. 52233-1204.
