- Description
- The Veterans Health Administration in Des Moines, Iowa has a requirement for Infectious Disease Services Physician under the Enhanced Medical Sharing Authority, Title 38 U.S.C. 8153 implementing Public Law 104-262 in accordance with VHA Directive 1663 for executing medical service contracts. The services are to be performed for the Veterans Affairs Central Iowa Health Care System (VA CIHCS). All work is to be performed at the VA CIHCS site. The solicitation number is VA263-14-R-1749 and issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This requirement is a Full and Open Unrestricted Competition. The contractor will be responsible for providing Infectious Disease Services, including Infectious Disease clinics, Hepatology clinics, ID In-patient consults, ID follow up in-patient consults, ID Administrative Meetings, and Non-patient clinical consults/reviews All Infectious Disease physicians including back-up Infectious Disease physicians must be Board Certified in Infectious Disease. The type of contract is anticipated to be a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The length of the contract is anticipated to be 5 years - one base year with four (4) 12-month options. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621111 "Officers of Physicians (Except Mental Health specialists). It is anticipated that this contract will be awarded August 1, 2014 and be effective until July 31, 2019 if all options are exercised. The solicitation documents will be available on or about June 6, 2014 or shortly thereafter and will be posted via the Federal Business Opportunities website. Prospective offerors should not expect notification of issuance of amendments other than via the Federal Business Opportunities website and are responsible for obtaining all amendments as posted. Prior to submission of a proposal, offerors are expected to read the solicitation documentation in its entirety to fully understand the scope of work, terms, and conditions of the requirement(s). Offerors who are unable to access or open uploaded attachments may contact the Contracting Officer to obtain copies.
