- Description
- Section 508 GPAT Statement of Work This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of 41.U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-1-2(i)(B2). The government intends to enter into a firm fixed price award with Natus Neurology Incorporated, 3150 Pleasant Valley Road, Middleton, WI 53562 and DUNS Number 874257488. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), conducting research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of neurological disorders and stroke. The NINDS mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease.. The Human Motor Control Section (HMCS) has a need for the necessary recording equipment to carry out research studies on normal volunteers and patients with neuromuscular disorders. The requested equipment is an Electromyography (EMG) and Evoked Potentials (EP) machine that will be used in many of our studies, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Reflex studies, and Tremor studies. The specific function of this machine is to record electrophysiological signals from the patients via electrodes, force transducers and accelerometers and store them as data files, tables of results, video files, and reports, to be analyzed either online or offline or both. We have ongoing studies under our thematic protocol (10-N-0009) using this machine and we have written additional software that works with it. We have patient and research data stored under the Viking format. Small businesses are encouraged to respond to this notice if they are capable to meet the needs of this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability and compatibility to fulfill the requirement. A complete statement of work is attached for reference. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. All responses must be received no later than June 19, 2014 at 1:00PM, Eastern Standard Time. Please email Brian Lind, Contract Specialist, at lindbj@nida.nih.gov with technical questions or written responses pertaining to this notice. No phone calls will be accepted.
