Description
Heating Oil Tank Demo Solicitation GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Disconnect, remove and legally dispose of the existing 550-gallon underground storage tank for heating oil serving the Bradford District heated garage/warehouse building including environmental sampling and a closure report. The closure report is to include disposal manifests, laboratory analytical results, and site photos. Work must be completed by a DEP certified tank remover and in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements. The site shall be restored with topsoil and seeded to match existing lawn. Assume no contamination, no need for remediation, and no foundation support during excavation. In the event that evidence shows prior tank leakage and soil contamination, notify the CO immediately. If additional excavation and disposal of soil around the site is required, additional pricing will be negotiated. The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits. The Contractor shall also be responsible for any and all damage to persons or property that occurs as a result of the Contractor's fault or negligence. The Contractor shall also be responsible for all materials delivered and work performed until completion and acceptance of the entire work, except for any completed unit of work which may have been accepted under the contract. Time of performance shall be: 30 days The Government and the public will occupy the site during construction and will require use of the area. Coordinate with the Government's representatives during construction operations to minimize conflicts and facilitate usage. Perform the Work in a manner that does not interfere with the Government's operations. The Work of this Contract may require additional coordination of activities with the Forest Service and other Contractors that may be working on other projects in the area.
