Description
Revised Technical Drawings RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS: 1. Question: Would it be possible to get a picture of the GFP molds and jigs? Response: The Government will not be furnishing jigs or molds to the Contractor. This language should have been removed from the technical drawings. The Government has made a revision to the last page of the technical drawings. Under "Statement of Work", Paragraph 3, under "Buoys". The following sentence is hereby deleted "The jigs and buoy molds shall be furnished to the contractor as Government Furnished Property." Replace the original drawing TAO-001102 with the attached revised drawings TAO-001102_RevD. 2. Question: We are having trouble understanding how the Stainless plates are attached inside the molds, also, the drawing calls out a 2nd plate, is that a band that goes around the inside of the buoy? Response: The three vertical supports will need to be bolted to a jig to support them during fabrication. Each support gets a metal band welded to it per DETAIL 1-1-2 of dwg TAO-001102_RevD. 3. Question: Is there a minimum or maximum hole size for the polyurethane fill holes? Response: No specification on fill holes, but they must be fiber-glassed over when complete.
