Description
Parts List for the GE Intelligent Platform Components. Please fill out the entire sources sought and return it by email to dayna.parkin_urquhart.1@us.af.mil by Tuesday June 17, 2014 10:00 AM MST. 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334418 which have a corresponding Size standard of 500 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years 2. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. GE Intelligent Platforms Embedded Systems, Inc., is the only known supplier at this time. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in the future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Ogden Air Logistics Center Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal Request for Purchase (RFP) in fiscal year 2014 for the acquisition of GE Intelligent Platform Components. The purpose of this RFI is to identify if our requirement is truly sole source. In the paragraphs to follow, the Government will describe why we believe this requirement is sole source. Please read our rationale and respond to the questions below. There is an immediate need for the GE Intelligent Platform Components. The GE Intelligent Platform Components is currently available to the Government from GE Intelligent Platforms Embedded Systems, Inc. These assemblies are proprietary to GE intelligent Platforms Embedded Systems, Inc.; the Government doesn't own data rights so no schematics can be provided. This RFI is to determine capable and interested parties for supply of the GE Intelligent Platform Components. The Government requests interested parties to submit a brief statement of current capability to provide the GE Intelligent Platform Components. Please limit your submissions to responses to these questions. Send responses to Dayna Parkin-Urquhart by e-mail at dayna.parkin_urquhart.1@us.af.mil Tuesday, 17 June 2014/10:00 a.m. MST. If you think your company has a viable solution to our requirement, please answer the questions below: 1. What is the name and DUNS number of your company? 2. How would you satisfy the Government requirement for the GE Intelligent Platform Components? 3. What obstacles would you have to overcome to provide the GE Intelligent Platform Components? 4. What is your expected cost and lead time for each component (see attached spare list)? 5. What information could we add to a request for information that would help you to understand our requirement? 6. Who is your point of contact and what is their email address and telephone number? 7. What NAICS code do you suggest for this acquisition? 8. Is your company a small business for this NAICS Code? If your company is a small business, is it also a women owned business, small disadvantaged business, 8a business, HUB Zone business, service disabled veteran owned business, etc. 9. If you are a small business, would your company provide products of its own manufacture or would it provide products manufactured by another small business. 10. Can you provide these through GSA advantage? 11. Discusses any concerns you may have with our requirement.
