- Rodent Lung Function Upgrade The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and The Office of Research Development (ORD), is seeking a contractor to provide:(1) update the software (S/W) used to acquire data on ventilatory responses in unrestrained, spontaneously breathing mice and rats exposed to environmental contami?nants because our current version of the S/W is no longer supported, and to (2) upgrade the related hardware (H/W) and computers due to increasing problems with the older computers and interfaces. The complete system should allow continued use of the whole body plethysmograph chambers, while allowing for improved digital output, and a modular approach to software to best meet our current, and evolving needs.. Solicitation number RFQ-DC-14-00148 is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541712. The Small Business Size Standard is 500. EPA a nticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order for this requirement. Offerors shall submit a quote based on the required specifications. Quotes shall be submitted electronically in Word or Adobe format via the e-mail links below. Quotes shall be emailed to Contracting Officer, Wallace Sermons at sermons.wallace@epa.gov. Award will be made based on lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA). Prospective sources are reminded that an award can only be made to a Contractor who is registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database, in accordance with FAR 4.11. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via online at http://www.sam.gov Statement of Work - Attachment 1 (Not included in Page Numbering) (4 Pages) The quote must also include shipping FOB destination.
