Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed om FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) with Pacific Biosciences, 1380 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, for the procurement of next-generation sequencing reagents to run the PacBio RSII which is manufactured by Pacific Biosciences. Specifically the government will purchase the following items The following consumables might be required for the Blue Pippin in use at USAMRIID. Several items will be regularly ordered, dependent on available funding, including the DNA template preparation, DNA/Polymerase binding and sequencing kits, DNA control complex, Lambda library complex, SMRT cells, SMRT oil, AMPure PB, MagBead kits, sequencing plate septa, sample plate septa, tube septa, pipet tips and mixing plates. The remaining items could be ordered, dependent on mission requirements. Due to the nature of unforeseeable and emerging occurrences of laboratory studies in USAMRIID and the expectations of support from the Clinical Laboratory, Division of Medicine, additional reagents may be required based on the protocol's specific testing requirements. The following minimal essential characteristics are required: All of the below reagents are required to be licensed for use on the Pacific Biosciences system.
