Description

J&A 1. A follow-on contract with options is contemplated to provide database software support to finalize the review of the Automated Approval Application (AAA) system for the Mine Safety and Health Administration, Office of Technical Support. The anticipated contract will have a base period of one year with two 12 month option periods; as well as a Not to Exceed line item for to cover potential travel charges. 2. Options are justified based upon the need to finalize the review of the Knowledge Director application database which was issued under Contract DOLJ-084R-22121 through competitive procurement processes and developed for use throughout the agency for the on-going evaluation and testing of mining equipment and systems submitted to MSHA to approve for use by the agency. The Government may extend the term of the contract by written notice to the contractor within 5 calendar days; provided that the Government gives the contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 30 calendar days.
