Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency to General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) (CAGE: 1VPW8), 8201 E McDowell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257 for the procurement of Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Manpack Radios (AN/PRC-155). The Manpack radio is a two-channel, software defined radio, capable of network-centric connectivity and legacy interoperability, supporting advanced and current waveforms. The Manpack radio is a multi-function communications platform. The Manpack radio provides two independent, multi-waveform, software defined communication channels. It is certified National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 and capable of operating within the 30-2,500 MHz range This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 5:30 pm EDT, 11 June 2014. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses shall be submitted via email and the total file size shall not exceed 5MB. Otherwise, responses must be submitted via hard copy to: US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, CCAP-CCB (M. Connolly), 6001 Combat Drive, APG, MD 21005.
