Description
This is a subcontracting opportunity with Management & Training Corporation (MTC), operator of 18 job corps centers. MTC is requesting sources for an Online GED Educational Software Program. MTC is only conducting market research and attaining information to identify contractors that are able to provide the services listed below and the cost associated to acquire these specific services. This request is strictly voluntary and is not to be interpreted as a quote in anticipation of a future contract award. Please provide information based on the following: Scope of Work: Each center requires an online GED educational software program to support student attainment of the core competencies of the new GED test. In order to meet the center's minimum instructional needs, the product must: Provide individualized instructional courseware for English, General Mathematics, Consumer Mathematics, and Pre-Algebra to students with a wide range of reading and math competencies; Operate effectively in an open-entry/open exit, competency-based instructional environment in which new students begin classes each week and complete when able to demonstrate required levels of proficiency; Contain instructional units with pretests allowing exemption from modules on which students demonstrate module mastery tests, and unit posttests; Feature age-appropriate content which is suitable for adult learners whose reading proficiency may correspond to elementary or middle school grade levels but who will not respond to material written for children or early adolescents; Rely primarily on online content with flexible, limited use of printed text and worksheet offline materials; Incorporate audio and translation capabilities by which students may have questions read to them, translated and/or defined into another language; Include curricular updates and technical support at no additional cost as part of an annual subscription rate; Allow teachers to monitor and evaluate student progress by means of easily accessible student performance reports including module, unit, and course completion, test scores, log in/out times, and time on task; Allow students the ability to track their progress by means of easily understood reports; Ability for students and instructors to communicate by means of private email; Meet the educational needs of approximately 125-1300 assigned student users on a weekly basis with a minimum of 15-50 licensed workstations.
