Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Syracuse, New York intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Joimax, Inc. to provide the Syracuse VA Medical Center with (2) Tessys Instruments - Basic Set, (2) Foraminoscope for Tessys, (1) Interlaminar Endoscopic Surgery System Short, (1) Laminoscope for Tessys, (1) Multiflex Holding Arm, (2) Joimax Shrill Handpiece, and (1) Joimax Ilessys Tube Set. The supplies will be delivered to at the Department of Veterans Affairs Syracuse VAMC, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. A sole source procurement will be issued to Joimax, Inc as the they are the only vendor capable of allowing the physician to remove disc material as well as be able to access epidural space through the foramen by doing a foraminotomy using the reamers. This allows the physician to access the area where the source of the pain exists. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 339112 and has a size standard of 500 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest no later than 3:00 PM EST, May 30, 2014 to: Allison.Dubin2@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
