Description

Synopsis: Network Contracting Office (NCO) 3 of the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract to NetSmart Technologies, Inc. under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed procurement is for a service and maintenance agreement on for the Avatar software which is used in conjunction with methadone dispensing equipment, located in the Opiod Treatment Program of the New Jersey Healthcare System located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018. Vendor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, material, parts, repair services, maintenance, maintenance support and software upgrades. This procurement involved license and proprietary software. This agreement will be a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of twelve (12) months and four (4) option periods. The North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 and the size standard is $19 Million. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest by providing a capability statement not later than May 23, 2014 at Noon. The capability statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
