Description

Limited Source Justification for Law Enforcement Services The U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Contracts and Procurement Division has awarded a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) to the County of Nye, P.O. Box 153, Tonopah, NV 89049 to the Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services for the NNSA Nevada National Security Site. The Nye County Sheriff's Department is the local law enforcement agency and is the only enforcement agency that can perform these duties due to having jurisdiction within this county to include civil and criminal law enforcement and oversight as well as local traffic enforcement. The responsibility for enforcement of local and state statues remains the responsibility of the local law enforcement agency as mentioned in 10 CFR 1047.4. The applicable NAICS is 561612 with a size standard of $19 million. This Limited Source Justification is being made available to the public in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
