Description
This will be an UNRESTRICTED procurement. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR 19.7 and FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers FY 14 subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 20.0%; Small Disadvantaged Business 5.0%; Woman Owned Small Business 5.0%; HUBZONE Small Business 10.0%; and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business 3.0%. The work consists of the removal of all material excavated from the Atchafalaya River within the limits shown on the contract drawings, and satisfactory disposal thereof within the government furnished disposal area. The reach of dredging is an initial cut, and, consequently, the Contractor may encounter virgin materials in the dredging template. NAICS: 237990. The estimated dollar value for this project is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. IFB will be issued on or about 10 April 2014. Actual issue date will be shown when the solicitation is issued.
