Description
Synopsis: REQUIREMENT: The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), has a pending requirement for a single Contractor to provide all necessary laborers, tradesmen, cranes, safety equipment, tools, services, licenses, permits, and supervision required to re-roof as noted below the following two (2) metal buildings: (1) the Warehouse and (2) the Power Plant. In addition, the Contractor will be required to replace four (4) roof-mounted exhaust fans at the same location as the Warehouse and the Power Plant. The Contractor shall coordinate and facilitate all of the necessary work to replace the existing metal Butler Manufacturing Company (Butler) ME-24 metal roof system at an existing operational, high-powered IBB Sao Tome Transmitting Station in the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe (West Africa). This work is called the "Re-roof" portion of this requirement. The existing metal roofs on the two (2) buildings, along with their square footage, are: (1) the Warehouse Building (WB) - 8,275 (SF) and (2) the Power Plant Building (PPB)- 7,275(SF). The Contractor will provide qualified supervisory personnel, tradesmen and laborers necessary to perform the work required under the resultant contract. Additionally, the Contractor shall replace four (4) exhaust fans mounted on the Power Plant roof at IBB's Sao Tome Transmitting Station. This portion of this requirement is called the "Exhaust Fan Replacement" portion of the work. The Contractor shall provide all items and equipment necessary to complete both portions of this work. For example, the Contractor shall provide tools, cranes, safety equipment, licenses, permits, etc. IBB will provide the Butler Manufacturing Company (Butler) MR-24 Metal Roof System for both the Warehouse and the Power Plant buildings. IBB will also provide replacement roof fans and bases. The contract term will be 365 days. However, all site work for this requirement must be completed in June, July and August of 2014. The Solicitation for this requirement is expected to be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on or about May 19, 2014. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the notification or otherwise pay for information or inquiry.
