- Construction Project - Changes in Bold : The purpose of this work is to demolish and dispose of the Old Mill Creek Project Office Building, which is approximately 1,200 square feet. Asbestos and lead abatement will be required. The office has lead paint as well as asbestos to be removed. Demolition will also include: removal of concrete and asphalt pads as well as removal of fencing and large trees. New work will include: placing fill material and gravel re-surfacing; furnishing and constructing a new chain-link fence with sliding gate; installing a concrete generator pad; relocating underground waterline; relocating existing and installing new underground electrical lines, light poles, and electrical outlet pedestals as well as relocating existing electrical panel with new. A sliding gate motor and control will be included on the bid schedule as an additive item. Place of Performance is at the Mill Creek Project located in Walla Walla, Washington, Walla Walla County. Period of performance is anticipated to be late July through mid November, 2014. Solicitation Number W912EF-14-B-0008 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about May 22, 2014. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. A site visit will be offered approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is made available to bidders. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price are required. A bid bond is required in the amount of 20 percent of the total bid price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is $33,500,000 in average annual receipts. This project is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns.
