- The General Services Administration announces the solicitation for the Roof Parapet & Cornice Limestone Restoration located at the E. Ross Adair Federal Building & USCH, 1300 S. Harrison Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to the following: masonry repair and masonry re-pointing, general and spot cleaning shall be required for the roof parapet and cornice areas around the perimeter of the building. Work must be in ways and means appropriate to historic buildings as outlined in the project scope, which are in accordance to ‘The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation & Illustrated Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings'. Additionally, Install Catwalk Scaffolding in the Mezzanine space in the Northwest corner, attaching it to the ceiling of the upper roof area. The area directly below this will be occupied by federal courts and will need to have loud work performed after hours. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. Funds are currently available. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 238140 with a size standard of $14 million. The estimated cost range for all work is between $1,800,000.00 and $2,100,000.000. This is a negotiated procurement; there will NOT be a public bid opening. Evaluation factors for award will consist of Past Performance and Price. The best value to the Government based on these factors will determine award. The solicitation will be available on or about May 28, 2014. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as FedBizOpps (FBO). FedBizOpps is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. FedBizOpps is fully integrated with other electronic Government initiatives, including the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. Registration in both SAM and FedBizOpps websites is required in order to download solicitation documents and is used to validate vendor identity. Contractors not registering in these systems will be ineligible to download the solicitation and ineligible for an award. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be on, or about June 30, 2014 by 3:00 PM (EST). All offers are to be submitted to the General Services Administration, Attn: Brittany L. Morrow, 1300 S. Harrison Street, Room 0130, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer whose name appears herein.
