Description

The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price task order with EOI, Inc., Doing Business As: Medical Resources, 8377 C Green Meadow Ste C, Lewis Center, OH 43035. The Government intends to limit sources in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 due to proprietary technologies and compatibility with currently operational systems and award a task order under GSA contract number GS-07F-0031T. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the purchase of Maintenance and Repair services of CheckPoint Temperature and Moisture Monitoring System currently installed in the WTVAHCS Laboratory Service. Maintenance and Repair services include original manufacture equipment (OME) hardware, software support and updates, system monitoring and training. The contractor will be required to provide services during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CDT. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811213 - Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 04:00 PM CDT, May 16, 2014. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the WTVAHCS will proceed with the procurement to EOI, Inc. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
