Description

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a purchase order to STIDD Systems, Incorporated (STIDD), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), for parts that will support the shock mitigating seating system used on the Response Boat-Medium (RB-M). This synopsis is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. It is a notice that outlines the Government's intent to contract on a sole source basis with STIDD. The Government has determined that STIDD is the only source able to successfully provide these items. Concerns interested should identify their capability, as well as, include a letter from the OEM verifying the concern is an authorized distributor. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Nichol Fitzpatrick, nichol.a.fitzpatrick@uscg.mil, no later than 12:00 pm EST, 27 May 2014. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
