Synopsis: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE 12 MAY 2014, Regional Contracting Office, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Center intends to issue a purchase order under FAR 13.501 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisitions of Commercial items to Time Warner Cable on a Sole Source basis to purchase the following line Items: CLIN 0001 (4 EA) Basic Cable Drops, 35 Mb/s Internet with Wireless Router lease for Bldg. 1411 CLIN 0002 (3 EA) Basic Cable Drops, 35 Mb/s Internet with Wireless Router lease for Bldg. 1412 CLIN 0003 (2 EA) Installation for Cable and Internet Drops Bldg 1411, and 1412 The intended period of performance for these items is one (1) base year and four (12 month) option years, 01 June 2014 “ 31 May 2019. The Government intends to award a Firm- Fixed Price sole-source contract to Time Warner Cable(TWC). TWC is the only provider for Cable Television and Cable Internet for the Twentynine Palms ares. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 517110 and the small business size standard is 1,500 employees. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct competitive procurement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Time, 22 May 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect throughout the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-72 effective 29 April 2014. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of the intellectual property rights held by the company. No request for quote for this procurement will be transmitted via Federal Business Opportunities. Proposed award date is on or about 01 June 2014. All potential offerors shall contact SSgt Brandon Flanner via email at brandon.flanner@usmc.mil or via fax at (760) 830-6353 for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. Posting date of this requirement is 12 May 2014. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the contracting office.
